Today we woke up early to transfer over to the fuel dock and ready ourselves for our trip. This time we had enough water to dock normally, so even with needing to shuffle a few lobster boats around, the process was a bit faster than docking the previous evening. We filled our diesel, water, and gas tanks, and Skip went off to get the meat and cheese for the next week and a half. Skip's selection of meats and cheeses was much more lavish than the ham and powdered shelf-stable parmesan I had gotten for the first few weeks of our trip, so Helene and Nathan were oohing and aahing over all the good food as they packed it into the boat. Once fueled up and full on good meats and cheeses, we left for Newfoundland. We are racing a big southerly that is supposed to fill in to about 30 knots tomorrow night, so we're hoping to get into our destination of Grey River—a large fjord with a tiny inlet and good protection from a southerly—by midday tomorrow. The wind started quite light but grew to a solid 15–20 knots, and we've been cruising at 8 knots with a reef in since.
