Our first deadline. Today was the day we had promised we would arrive in Sydney in order to get Kaia to her flight off the boat and to be ready to take on the next wave of crew. The day was mostly uneventful in a good way and was as simple as motoring from Big Harbor, after a lazy morning, to Sydney. Unfortunately, I spent most of my day trying to sort out docking in Sydney and trying to source stainless steel ratchet straps, unwashed eggs, and a handheld depth finder—all of which I was unable to do, leading to quite an unsuccessful day behind the phone, but a plenty successful one behind the wheel; although Helene did most of the steering. She then made a trip to the grocery store and made us poke bowls, which was a good way to end the day.
