9/12/26: Puddle Jumping

Today we only had 15 miles to cover, almost all through narrow inland passages. Katie made us a lovely breakfast and then we lifted anchor and got underway. The narrowest of the passages we encountered was a 90° turn five times as wide as the boat, but other than that nothing was too exciting. I figured we'd run aground at least once today, but we managed to avoid it. For the last couple miles of the passage we even tried sailing, but only made it work in the last mile. Enjoying it we overshot our anchorage by 30 minutes just to get some sailing in before turning back and dropping the anchor. We went ashore for a hike up some of the small surrounding cliffs, where we saw two otters playing along the shore before retiring back to the boat. There Katie made yet another excellent meal and Chuck and Marc played us some after-dinner music.
