We walked into the grocery store as the doors opened this morning. The restocking ship had come last night, and we were excited to see the produce options. They were okay. I wanted bananas, which there were none of, but otherwise the store had a variety of fruits and vegetables in small quantities, including some raspberries I got for breakfast. Just before leaving, we heard from a very nice local who came to see the boat that there was good scallop diving in some nearby areas, which got us all excited before casting off for a small uncharted bay about a quarter of the way to the next major town, Hopedale. The journey was smooth, and we even did some sailing, which has become a rarity in our inner coastal sailing. The bay itself is less extreme than the terrain we've been seeing and almost looks like a lake. It is extremely picturesque and secluded and is even warm, which is a feeling long forgotten. Once anchored, we set out to gather dinner with Dede, Nathan, and Skip looking for mussels along the shore and Helene diving for scallops with me as a chase boat. We had mussels for dinner, which were cooked to perfection by Dede.
