Today we woke up at sea, and went to bed at sea. It's the second day of our trip and everyone has started to fall into the rhythm of watches and the practice of sleeping away about half the day. Our watch schedule is 3 hours on watch with a partner and then 6 hours off. This watch schedule gives you enough time to live a life outside of watch, but you're still never getting more than 6 hours of sleep at a time at best. We had dense fog for the majority of today, so while awake, everyone spent a fair bit of time reading, writing, and drawing. Dd brought some of his old logs from the Transpac race and his original trips on Pelagic, which are all beautifully illustrated. This inspired me to try and produce some illustrations for my log as well, which was mainly a matter of trying to remember/figure out how to watercolor to a satisfactory level.
